Often when people counsel us, truth may be mixed with error. So it is with Eliphaz. He speaks much that is right about God, but assumes throughout that Job's sufferings must be God's discipline for some sin in his life. As readers we know different. As you read note the insights in Job's reply for how those who suffer feel.Job 4-7
Finish this reading by pausing to ask yourself:
1) What’s the main thing it teaches me about God or his purposes in Christ? Then praise him for this.
2) What’s the main thing it teaches me about his will for me or the world? Then pray that home.
